Voting Is A Sacred Responsibility – TIPNG
WITH four weeks left before polling begins next month and 3332 candidates to choose from, Transparency International chairman Lawrence Stephens has urged Papua New Guineans to vote responsibly.
“We want people to look at voting as a sacred responsibility, not as something that can be bought or sold.”
“A sacred responsibility to select a person who will represent us and everyone else in the country in perhaps the most important institution we have, which is our legislature,” Mr Stephens said.
“We would ask everyone to go out and exercise their right to vote, very cautiously, very carefully and very honestly for the welfare of us all.”
